Macheo uses your data to administrate donations. Next to that your data can be used to inform you about interesting news or actions to further our cause.

We use extensive security procedures to secure the data we process, including preventing unauthorized access to this data.

Privacy statement Macheo

Macheo handles the data of visitors to our site with care. They are carefully handled and secured. Macheo adheres to the privacy legislation.

Macheo, and the children we help, depend on donations from third parties. Macheo therefore treats the personal data we receive with care. This means, among other things, that we treat your personal data confidentially, that we have taken security measures to protect your personal data against loss, unauthorised access or theft, and that we will remove data if it is no longer necessary for the work we do for the children. All data is carefully handled and secured. Macheo adheres to the privacy legislation.

We are also required to be able to demonstrate how and when we obtained your data and that we have your permission to do so. For example, we receive personal data:

• When making a donation to Macheo. Then your name and account number or phone number will be processed. This information is required to register and process your donation.
• If you volunteer for Macheo in one way or another, your details will be known to our administration.
• If you contact us by e-mail or telephone, or if you make a donation or if you subscribe to our newsletter, we will also process your telephone number, e-mail address and name.

We process personal data so that we can:

• process and manage your donation.
• in our administration we comply with (legal) financial and fiscal obligations.
• we can inform you as specifically as possible about our work and we can ask you for a new donation.

We do not use your data for purposes other than those mentioned above.

Macheo does not sell personal information to third parties. We will not retain your personal information any longer than necessary. Some of your personal information will be retained because of a financial and/or tax obligation.

You can unsubscribe from campaigns and newsletters.

If you have made a donation, your address, email address or phone number may be used by us to inform you about our actions and plans. This can be done by post, email or telephone.

Macheo uses cookies. A cookie is a small file that is stored on your computer, tablet or phone.

We use the following cookies on our website(s):

• Functional cookies; these are used to optimise the operation of our website. For example, they are used for the correct functioning of forms on our website.
• Analytical cookies; these are used to test and optimize the quality and effectiveness of our website.
• Social media cookies; these make extra functionalities possible. For example, offering a Google Maps map with interactive directions, the Facebook ‘like’ button or the ability to share something via Twitter. With these cookies, the website you are viewing ‘knows’ whether you are logged in to Google, Facebook or Twitter.

Functional cookies are deleted after your visit to our website. Analytical, social media, and advertising cookies are not automatically deleted. You will have to delete them yourself.
